How to sew a laundry bag

Finished size of bag (approximate): 

​

• Large: 25x25 inches

• Medium: 18 W x 20 L inches

• Small: 10 W x 18 L inches​

• Pillow Case: 18 W x 25/28 L inches

Every order has specific requirements, which have to be followed when a request is made.The bags need to be uniquely identifiable by pattern or a patch.

Please take this request into consideration when making your bags it is to ensure minimal handling and that users can identify "their" bag at a glance.

Please remember that your bag will need to cope with repeated 60°C washes.
 

• Make sure you use cotton or poly-cotton that can be washed at high temperatures. 
   

• Finish inside seams, for example with a zigzag stitch.
   

• Stitch forwards and backwards a couple of times at areas that will be under stress, e.g. at the drawstring. 
   

• If your sewing machine makes buttonholes, you can sew a pair of buttonholes side by side, then make a channel all round the top of the bag for the drawstring (like in a pair of tracksuit trousers).
